Fashion: Paris Fashion Week Highlights – Dries Van Noten

Now there were ALOT of beautifully crafted collections at PFW, more highlights of which shall be blogged about soon, but Dries van Noten’s was the one for me!

Checks often get used season after season but these colourways styled with such feminine fabrics and chic silhouettes give them a whole new lease of life. Soft tailoring and florals get refreshed in a sophisticated muted palette of reds, vintage blue, green and antique white. The styling really is essential in mixing up the prints subtly, offering up a chic grunge look – just love every piece!

CLockwise from top left: Bottega Veneta,  Gabriele Colangelo, Dolce and Gabbana, Antonio Marras, John Richmond, Les Copains.

Milan Fashion Week presented some beautiful feminine looks in true Italian style for SS13, and here are some of my favourites. I love the neckline of the Bottega Veneta dress, the structure of the block coloured shirt and drop hems at Colangelo, and the classic LDB, given a revealing upgrade at Dolce & Gabbana. The sheer craftsmanship in Antonio Marass’ example is contemporary Italian fashion at its best while the pencil skirt x oversized fitted top combo is my favourite styling trend of the moment!
