Just A Taste of Paris

I’ve just returned from a great 3day trip to Paris, one of the great perks of my job where I was sent on a research trip, basically shopping and photographing the fashion in the city, which is unbelievable! As I was only there for three days, and spent the majority of it working, it’s only wet my appetite to return and explore the city further as I only caught a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower, ate only ONE macaroon (it didn’t survive long enough to take a photo) and didn’t even get to visit the Lourve! Food: Honey & Mustard Pork with Pears & Pots

This was one of the most tasty dishes I’ve made so far and I recommend it to anyone as its super simple and really quick to make and is a great alternative to a sunday roast.

This comes from You magazine (Sunday supplement from the Daily Mail) and suggests using a fillet of pork and serving with parsnips too, but I could only find pork steaks and am not too keen on parnips. For us, this worked perfectly with crispy roasted potatoes cooked in goose fat (by the boyfriend) and a buttered corn on the cob but should of put some green beans with it really to give the dish a bit more colour – next time!
