Words by MPDClick’s Trend Journal Editor.

Ever since reporting on the upcoming exhibition ‘Memory Palace’ MPDClick were so intrigued, we just had to visit, and what a world we stepped into!

The exhibition, through its innovative means of communicating the story, whether that be through the 3D writing on the walls, compelling comic strips or thought provoking installations, completely immerses you in the fictional world which becomes strangely viable.

What was particularly fascinating was the diverse forms of interpretation from the contributing artists, from slick visual infographics to the black & white dog drawn ambulance installation; the variety of media used further solidifies the story’s concept as a whole. The details of the story and feel of the exhibition is so unique it has to be experienced firsthand to really appreciate this progressive concept.

The way in which this farfetched story has been reimagined in such a 3D environment should be used to inspire storytelling in the everyday, from the story of a brand, a new collection presentation or product launch. This concept falls in line with MPDClick’s SS14 trend forecast which invites childlike curiosity and the application of play to enhance creativity and innovation.

Open until 20th October 2013, we urge you to visit this exhibition for yourself, for more details visit the V&A website here.
